Our Work Week Begins

We got up this morning and headed to chapel. After chapel, we got a tour of the hospital. It was amazing to see all the building that has gone on since we were here last year. The bottom floor of the staff flats is done with people living there. Today, some people worked on mortaring the walls on the second floor while others starting painting the outpatient/admissions building. I went with others to the AIDS orphan house. When we arrived there was only the foundation. We were tasked with using hand saws to cut 66 80 in boards and 66 86 in boards. We got all but 7 cut when they wanted us to start putting up walls. When we left for the day there were both short walls done and one long wall. The windows were also up. We had a lot of children around and Cathy, Colene and Anna were singing with them. There is a British student working at the hospital and we invited him to dinner. With all of our running jokes and strange personalities . . . we didn't scare him off too bad. Tomorrow we are doing the same jobs but people are going to be working at different places. Continue to keep us in your prayers for the rest of the trip. By the way our luggage is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning!
