Yesterday was a successful first day.  Everyone had good thoughts to share at our team meeting last night.   We are all back at work at the various sites today.  Gabby and Allie made prayer rounds with the chaplin this morning an then joined the flats work for the afternoon, with Barry, Anne, Warren, and Hannah.  Rich, Terry, Hallie, Ed, and John are working at the house.  Leda and Dr. Inoti began assembling the eye laser machine this morning.  This machine is a really unimaginable and exciting piece of equipment for Maua Hospital to have.  This will alow very specialized treatment of patients with damage to the retina of the eye, such as diabetics might have.  To obtain the specialized treamtment patients have had to go to Nairobi, and that is not an affordable option.  Now they will be able to get that treatment right here in Maua.  I cannot begin to discribe the enthusiasm the entire hospital staff has about this one item.  Thanks to two extremely generous donors for purchasing the machine and to Leda Phillips for coordinating its delivery.
There are countless resources that this hospital doesn't have but God continues to bless the hospital and the people of Maua.
