Phyllis Smith,  a 2013 GUMC Kenya Team member, lives in Ocean Springs Mississippi.  Today her Sunday School Class, The "Half Way Home" Class at St Paul UMC, prayed for Phyllis and our mission.  Phyllis is the sister of Barry Smith and sister-in-law of Susan Hillebert Smith.  This is her first time to travel to Kenya and with our team.  Phyllis is a seasoned traveler however and is looking forward to our trip.  We all appreciate your prayers and support and encourage you to follow our progress on this blog site throughout the trip, July 4-20.  Our team will be commissioned in at Germantown UMC next Sunday, June 30th at the 11 o'clock service.
