Arthur Jackson has joined our team and we are delighted. We met Arthur last year here in Maua while he was serving as a volunteer physician at the hospital for 5 months. Now returning for a two week visit he wants to serve in a different way than before by "rolling up his sleves and getting his hands dirty." He met us in Nairobi and traveled with us to Maua yesterday. He'll work along side our team members this week as we construct a home for a family of children orphaned by AIDS and do various mantenance projects at the hospital. Arthur is retired from dermatology but surely not letting any grass grow underneath nhis feet. As you pray for our team members this week please add Artur to your list too.
In addition to worshipping at St Joseph Methodist Church this morning our team spent the afternoon resting, reading, and exploring Maua. The Mabone river, water supply for the community, is fully flowing and Mauans seem in high spirits we observed.
The team is in happy fellowship together and we look forward to starting our work here tomorrow.
