Our Team Rocks!

This is Amy Fink. (Written Tuesday, June 29) Today, four of us went for a three hour rough ride to a remote bush area outside Meru with the group, Zoe Ministries. We visited homes led by girls whose parents had died of AIDS. The oldest female child is left to care for siblings or grandmothers. ZOE Ministries empowers these girls to be independent. They are supported by a local community in a type of co-op support group. Other members of the team painted the children's wing at the hospital and the work continued on the AIDS Orphan house. We had dinner at the Sauvutos which was wonderful! Tomorrow we will lead chapel for the hospital staff and continue on the house. We have a great team and are accomplishing many projects with the guidance of our fearless leader, Susan.
