From Colene Watkins (aka “CoCo”): Today in Maua was a very busy day for the mission team. We led and sang at both morning chapel services then went off to the work sites. We enjoyed a lunch meeting at Maua Methodist Hospital where the team met and spoke with hospital management. I ate arrow root, among other Kenya staples. The house is nearly finished. Luggage was unpacked, medical supplies distributed, and Vacation Bible School materials prepared and sorted.
My highlight was being CoCo the Clown, the emcee and song leader for Vacation Bible School. We read Bible stories, played games, and orchestrated crafts with nearly 200 children crawling all over us. They all love to be near us and do not have the same concept of personal space as we do!
All in all another blessed day with the wonderful Kenyan people!
